Our Firewall Basics with Fireware training course was written by WatchGuard and is deemed their official training course in Firewalling Basics. The instructor-led course is the mainstay of WatchGuard’s training program and is an important component of their support services. Demonstrations and hands-on practice with WatchGuard hardware and software enable students to install, configure, and maintain secure networks using WatchGuard’s suite of products.

Firewall Basics with Fireware Course (3 days)

The 3-day WatchGuard Firewall Basics with Fireware course offers an introduction to network security concepts using the award-winning WatchGuard System Manager software and revolutionary new appliance software Fireware® Pro. The WatchGuard Firewall Basics course concentrates on installation, configuration, and management of a Firebox X Core or Firebox X Peak model with Fireware appliance software. You’ll learn how to create a basic security policy with the Fireware Policy Manager, control logging and notification, and build custom activity reports. This course is intended for the users who are new to WatchGuard hardware and software.
